The Upper Room.

Well it is mostly finished, and what a master piece it is. God is great, and faithful. I really felt led to get the majority of the room finished before this weekend, and with the help of my wife, and the best two neighbors a guy could ask for, Aaron and Heather, we finished painting and making it look amazing. From now until we get a permanent building this is where we will meet. We are still wanting to get a projector... we have started a fund for that and so far we are still about $300 away from getting it. If you are interested in donating towards this fund email me and let me know. Thank you all who have donated thus far. This will be a great ministry. I will post pics as soon as I have them ready to put up... keep an eye on the blog for that.

In time...

So tonight at church as I gave the first sermon of my adulthood, I found out two things about the way I speak... one, I talk to fast, and two, I have this knack for skipping over parts. I am not sure if it was nervousness, or just lack of practice, but I figure that I will get better at this over time. The teaching was on Temptation... not a real easy subject, but I managed to get some key points together rather quick. Maybe too quick. Not sure. In anycase, I got some great advice from my friends, family and most importantly my wife, as she knows she can be brutally honest with me... which I am grateful for. With her advice and pointers will help me to be more successful next go-around. I am meant to be a pastor, but I know I lack experience. Hence the reason this didn't turn out as well as I had hoped.

On the other side, I believe that what I did say touched some of the people that were there tonight...

God has much teaching to do in my life before I am ready to take on another sermon.

Pray for me. Recently I have been kinda uptight and stressed.... I am still not slowing down. WHY??? Am I taking on too much stuff at once?

Now is that time...

There comes a time when you can no longer base your beliefs on hope, Love must be the thing that guides us into eternity. Love of a God who brings us in, not Hope in a savior who could have been. Love of a savior who was, is and will be

Today you should write that down, and remember this, as it WILL change the way you think and live.

The Busy of It All...

Tomorrow will be an interesting and yet exciting day. I have my grandma's memorial service, and memorial flight, and then church here at the house right after. I will be busy but in the middle of it all, I can not forget to just pause and spend time with God in all the hussle and bussle.

Thank you for all your prayers, I have not only felt comfort, and confidence, but God has also given me an amazing vision for some things to come for our campus. Can't wait to share, but right now isn't the time.

my first sermon...

So I am working on my first sermon, not sure when I will give it, but running a campus, you should always have a back up plan just in case you get technical problems.

It is about the church, and what it consists of, the meat and potatoes if you will, or if you are Vegan, nuts and spinach or whatever. It will be intersting to see how long it will take me to get it all together. Luckily I have great friends and mentors like Seth, and John, and John Mark to help me out.

Thats all the insight you get at the moment.

Last weekend.

So last week was amazing. It was awesome to be able to bless the mothers of the church with an incredible message.

Things are going really swell with Gresham LHC. I am thinking about a building in the near future. I have got my eye on one that is in construction on the corner of 181st and Halsey. I don't know how much it will cost but I love the location. If you live in the area and get a chance to drive by it is in the east side of 181st.

Pray for knowing the next step... I feel unsure on what to do next. Please pray that God gives me clarity and confidence.

If you are already praying, I thank you... I do feel stronger, and my energy level is staying high! That is half the battle right there.

Great News!

Starting May 11th 2008 you can stop asking yourself, “…is Gresham Life Group this week, or next???”

God has put on my heart to start doing Life Group every Sunday at 7:00pm… and actually it isn’t a “Life Group” anymore. This is Gresham Campus Living Hope Church. God is going to move in great way, in our community, and in our hearts. This wouldn’t have been possible unless we had the help of all my friends, family and most importantly our Leadership Team. Thank you for listening to the heart of God and Obeying His word- with people like yourself we will start this campus and we’ll all be part of this ONLY GOD MOVEMENT here in Gresham!
